Washington ( the state not DC)

So far, we've seen only a bit of Washington. We did go to Mt. St. Helens to see the results of the volcano in 1980. Much of the area has been re-forested since then and the hills are filled with beautiful evergreens. But, some of the area close to the blast zone have been left as they were after the eruption. Now, 29 years later one can look around and see miles (?) of land that is gray, dead and has only the remnants of trees blown apart. It sort of looks like the moon. Definitely a place worth visiting and seeing the destruction mother nature can visit upon an area.
Otherwise, we haven't seen much here other than the state park which, isn't as nice as Oregon. Oregon rules!
Anyway, more about Washington as it happens. Right now we are outside Seattle in a KOA, just back from a swim, having a beer and celebrating 4 weeks on the road.
