New Mexico

We headed west again and in a short time rolled into New Mexico. As the license plate says "Land of Enchantment". The landscape is beautiful, right from a cowboy movie. High desert sand and scrub, mountains in the distance, ravines, rocks...just beautiful. Coming to Albuquerque things only improved. Pink adobe buildings with aqua blue trim, overpasses decorated with indian art and bright splashes of paint, flat topped adobe homes and offices, in short, everything we love about the southwest. We spent a day touring the city and surrounding area, including Sandia Crest, the 10,000+ foot area overlooking downtown. The beauty of the entire area is amazing.
